Apple Book

A book chronicling the past 20 years of Apple design is being published. “Designed By Apple In California” is as much an Apple product as the gadgets it documents. It took eight years to develop, is bound in white linen, and printed on specially milled, custom-dyed paper with gilded matte silver edges. And like the current generation of iPhones, the book—conceived of and published by Apple—comes in 2 sizes, small and large. Photographer Andrew Zuckerman shot the 450 pages of products in Apple’s signature stark style—white background, high saturation—even turning the messy act of prototyping into minimalist glamour shots. Candy-colored Macbooks, iPhones, and the Apple Watch are all showcased, as are the tools and prototypes used to create the products we are so familiar with.

The book has a single dedication to Steve Jobs.
