Big Changes have been taking place at Restoration Hardware since Gary Friedman took the helm. His creative direction upgrading and making the merchandise more relevant was only surpassed by the bold new environmental changes in RH’s retail locations. Only to be topped off with the 30 pound “Source Books” mailed to discriminating shoppers.
The latest is RH Modern, a new contemporary collection of furnishings, rugs, drapery, lighting and so on. To design this Source Book, as well as the new ad campaign, he enlisted graphic design legend (and my personal hero) Fabien Baron. Who else but Fabien could elevate and distinguish this new brand in such a bold way? The result is the definition of luxury with a Source Book that blurs the line between catalog and magazine.
