On October 9th Sade will release a new box set entitled “This Far.” The set will feature remastered versions of all Sade’s six studio albums to date—Diamond Life (1984), Promise (1985), Stronger Than Pride (1988), Love Deluxe (1992), Lovers Rock (2000), and Soldier Of Love (2010)—on pure 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl and packaged in a white case-bound box.
The remastering was overseen by the close band of four—Sade (vocals), Stuart Matthewman (saxophone/guitar), Andrew Hale (keyboards), and Paul Spencer Denman (bass). Alongside Sade, acclaimed mastering engineer Miles Showell, and the band’s long-time co-producer Mike Pela worked from high resolution digital transfers of the stereo master mixes from the original studio recordings. The remastered half speed audio was conducted at Abbey Road Studios in London.
Let’s hope this recent reunion (along with rumors last year) might mean an upcoming new album.
“This Far” can be pre-ordered now.
