“The Tiger” 

This week Gucci has opened a new chapter under recently appointed Creative Director, Demna. With a cinematic premiere and the unveiling of his first collection for the house, the scale is unmistakable—big budgets, marquee names, and luxury turned up to full volume. All of this underscoring Demna’s intent to reclaim Gucci’s place at the center of the global stage.

“The Tiger,” a short film by Spike Jonze and Halina Reijn, screened simultaneously for press in Milan and at Cinema Village in New York on September 23. This isn’t some 10-second social media stunt but a lavish, big-budget production with full Hollywood wattage.The cast includes Demi Moore, Edward Norton, Ed Harris, Elliot Page, Keke Palmer, Alia Shawkat, Julianne Nicholson, Heather Lawless, Ronny Chieng, Kendall Jenner, and Alex Consani. 

The film sketches out Demna’s ambitions for Gucci: to turn the brand into not just a fashion house but an immersive stage alive with all the buzz and hype.
