Maison Margiela Does The North Face

A new collaborative collection of Maison Margiela and The North Face brings back the 1990 Expedition System which was a revolutionary modular system of layered pieces designed to be detachable. Although MM6 Maison Margiela is a women’s line, the collaboration is expected to be a unisex range.

Celebrated outerwear silhouettes from the series are reimagined in circular patterns that reference the circle concept of MM6. Interlocking components that convert the protective, insulating properties of each item help carry on the modular property of the Expedition System. The result is a customized, color-blocked appearance using The North Face’s signature colors. Where The North Face offers its technical expertise for outerwear, the Maison lends its concept driven playfulness.

The collection is expected to drop globally on October 12th.
