Congratulations to Frances Barber for winning Best Lead Performance in a Musical at the Off West End Theater Awards (the “Offies”) for her one woman show as Billie Trix “Musik” at the Leicester Square Theater. I was fortunate enough to see the debut performance at the Fringe Festival in Edenborough, Scotland 2019. A month later I was in London and saw the Leicester Square production. That night I was seated right behind Neil Tennant—one half of Pet Shop Boys—who wrote the music for the show. What a spectacular evening. Frances really brought the house down!
