Takashi Murakami and Kaikai Kiki’s pastry shop Tonari no Kaikado in Japan have created limited-edition cookies in the shape of hydrangea flowers, which is one of the country’s iconic flowers known to bloom during this time of the year.
The “Flower Parent and Child’s Hydrangea Cookie Can” displays two of Murakami’s signature flower characters in a mint-flavored rendition, surrounded by a mix of flavors for the hydrangeas in butterfly pea, raspberry, purple yam, and white bean paste. Cuddling the flowers is a generous amount of leaf-shaped cookies with even more colorful and flavorful bites found underneath.
You can pre-order the cookies on their official online store starting June 4 at 12:00 P.M. JST and pick them up from their physical store. There will only be 100 tins up for grabs.
